Air Fryer Broccoli
This just might be the very best broccoli you’ve ever had!
I REALLY enjoy broccoli and it’s probably my #1 go-to vegetable.
I’ve always LOVED roasted vegetables…that crispy crunch just makes them so incredibly enjoyable! With the air fryer you get that same crispiness, but quicker and easier than traditional oven roasting… OH YEAH – you’ll also need way less oil for air-fried veggies, so that’s great too!
Rachels Tips:
This recipe actually works with FROZEN broccoli too! You’ll need to double the cooking time…so somewhere around 20 minutes (flipping the broccoli halfway) and you’ve got a delicious veggie side dish straight from the freezer if needed! Just keep an eye on things the first time since all machines are different.
Want variety next time? Try your broccoli with these seasoning ideas:
-
2 tsps taco seasoning, or:
-
2 tsps fajita seasonings, or:
-
2 tsps Italian seasonings, or
-
2 tsps lemon-pepper seasonings
BROCCOLI
They’re great raw, air-fried, steamed, roasted, in a salad, in stir-frys, in soup, … and the list is endless!
These cute little cruciferous vegetables ate truly one of my favorites!
These little green “tree stalks” are packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants your body loves!
Broccoli is believed to help protect you from cancer, can help control blood sugar, and supports healthy digestion.
PLUS … broccoli supports the function of your brain and immune system, is good for your heart, and also keeps your bones and joints strong!
When’s the last time you had some broccoli!?
REFERENCE:
4 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 medium head broccoli, broken into florets
- 2 tsp avocado oil
- sea salt and ground pepper, to taste
- freshly chopped parsley leaves as garnish, optional
Additional flavors: (choose any or mix them all up):
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions:
Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees f.
Place the broccoli florets into a large bowl and drizzle with the oil. Sprinkle with the seasonings of YOUR choice, if desired and season with sea salt and pepper to taste.
Use your clean hands to toss very well. It may seem like too little oil, but resist the urge to add more, or else your broccoli florets will end up soggy.
Transfer your broccoli into the air-fryer basket.
Air fry for 9-10 minutes, shaking the basket to flip the florets halfway. Keep an eye on them the first time, because all Air fryers are different.
Carefully remove with tongs, and serve immediately.
Enjoy!
