Krissa Lost 26 Pounds and 15/12 Inches

Krissa Lost 26 Pounds and 15/12 Inches!

Hi there, I am Krissa. I am 50 years old, my husband divorced me just over a year ago and I am an empty nester. I am not a fan of being alone, especially since we had been together since the age of 18. I have been a wife and mother for all my life and now suddenly I am neither. I am still a Mom but they have all grown and have their own lives. I know I need to focus on me as I always made it about everyone else.

I work a full-time desk job so I do have a hard time getting enough exercise in. In between starting CFC and having a step challenge with my Scentsy business, I have started walking on my breaks and I go for a walk in the evening so I am walking at least 10,000 steps a day. It feels good to start moving again.

I have always been overweight so I have mostly always been unhappy. I would take that teen body in a heartbeat now lol. I got pregnant at 17 and had my son when I was 18. Since I was young, I gave in to every craving I had. Sadly, I gained at least 50 pounds.

I had and have issues with depression but it is getting better now. I am sure my poor choices in food have not helped. I have continued to steadily gain since I started a desk job in 2007. I believe I weighed about 289 when I started there. I just continued to gain between the lack of exercise, depression, and being unhappy. At the heaviest weight I have recorded, I was 331.8 in Sept of 2016. Between walking, etc. I got myself down to 318.1.

I lost, gained, lost, and gained weight. I lost weight when my husband left me in 2017 because I stopped eating, I was devastated to say the least. Since I was losing weight already from not eating (got down to 280), I decided to continue once I started eating again so I turned to Keto. It seemed to work great except for if you decide to cheat and it takes time to get back into ketosis and start losing again. It was great in the beginning but after a while, it really is not sustainable. The lowest weight I reached in May 2019 was 239.8 but I did not maintain it. In May 2020, I was back up to 273. I kept trying to stick with Keto as my knees and back were killing me due to the extra weight! By June of 2021 I was back to 257.9. I know it is not healthy to gain, lose, gain, lose but I did not know what else to do!

I have actually been following Rachel since 11/1/2016. Can you believe it took me that long to sign up for a monthly challenge?! I remember I participated in one at some point and lost 15 pounds and loved it but did not continue for whatever reason at the time.

I could have lost all my extra weight already! Darn It! 😂. Don’t hesitate or think you cannot do this because you can!!!

I finally decided I was at the end of my rope, had run out of ideas and thought, this is it, I am going to try a Clean Eating Challenge and if this does not work for me I am at a loss and giving up. I loved the idea of Buy 1 Month Get One Free and that is what gave me the push to finally sign up for a challenge. I just keep thinking, why did I not do this sooner?!

I am blessed to say I lost 26 pounds and 15-1/2″ in just my first two months!

I kept feeling like this is a dream, it cannot be happening and at some point, it was going to stop working for me. To say the least, I was wrong and I could not be happier!

You think your cravings will never go away and the more you feed that sugar addiction, the worse it gets! I figured I was doomed as I felt so out of control. Another obstacle for me is that I am not a fan of cooking or being in the kitchen which makes it a little difficult as well. Thank goodness Rachel’s plan is easy, detailed and foolproof. The best part, if you have questions you can totally ask them!

You have all of the support of Rachel and the amazing ladies that help her! That was HUGE for me! After completing about week 1 the cravings were disappearing which I truly was shocked but happy!

The Differences I Feel Are Incredible!

  • I am finally sleeping better for the first time in a long time!
  • I am not as tired as I was, which is great as I always have a ton of things to do
  • I also notice a difference in my moods.
  • I cannot wait to go in for my annual check-up and see how my bloodwork, etc. have improved as well.

It’s Like I Have Been Given a New Life!

If you are anything like me, you have doubts, question the fact this will work for you, why try something else just to fail, etc. Do not miss out on one of the best things ever! It is life-changing!

My clothes were starting to fit loosely and I knew I was losing weight but it is hard to truly believe it. I would look in the mirror and think, I believe I am getting smaller but then I would talk myself out of it and go back to thinking I am just as big as when I started (totally mindset from so many years!).

It was not until I took my very first picture and my last picture after 2 months that I was seriously shocked at what I saw in front of me! WOW! I saw a huge difference! I promise you, you will not regret it! I knew once I finished the Challenges that I wanted to sign up for the Annual Membership! I have a lot of weight to still lose and I wouldn’t do it any other way!

I absolutely LOVE my Oatmeal Cookie Protein Shake as I feel like I am having a treat but it is something good for me, fuels my body and I can feel good about putting it into my body! Another favorite on the sweeter side is the Apple Mug Breakfast. It is almost like comfort food for me but in a good way! It goes wonderfully with my coffee after I have my eggs! I really enjoyed the chicken meatballs as they were easy, tasty and not dry at all. The Burrito Bowl is pretty delicious too lol.

Actually, I love pretty much everything I have had so far! I have stuck closely with week 1 – week 4 for the last 2 months so I am super excited to start adding more of Rachel’s other awesome recipes! I have tried SO MANY new things and learned I loved them!

Thank you to Rachel and her team for giving me my life back! I plan to be around for a long time to enjoy my kids and my grandkids!
