Sarah Lost 29 Pound with the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge!

Introduce yourself, who are you, how old are you, do you have a family, what do you do for a living, what do you like to do for fun?

My name is Sarah and I am 48 years old.  Currently, I am in my master’s degree for Marriage and Family Therapy.  I am a certified life coach and am also in direct sales which allows me to make a little income while I focus on my degree. I have been married to my best friend for almost 17 years and have two adult children. My family means the world to me and I enjoy spending time with them whenever I can.

What were your greatest challenges before Clean Eating?

My challenges started about four years before I decided to join the Clean Eating challenge group. I had my thyroid removed, and prior to that, was in the best shape of my life. It became difficult to stay in balance when I was constantly trying to adjust my medications to help my body function optimally.

Having thyroid issues played havoc on my body, and it also has a tremendous impact on my well-being. All of the diets I tried didn’t help my weight loss or well-being.

I am also Celiac Sprue and followed a gluten-free diet before Clean Eating. It certainly helped, but I never found the right combination of what worked and didn’t reach my goals.

How has Clean Food Crush and the 30-Day Clean Eating Challenge help you to transform?

The 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge and CleanFoodCrush is where my life, my body, and my well-being transformed after four continuous years of struggle.

I not only stepped outside my comfort zone and joined the 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge, but because I had such amazing results, I became an annual member. I have learned a completely different lifestyle as far as my eating habits are concerned.

I am an advocate for Clean Eating which incorporates protein, a lot of vegetables, and if you are a sweets person (like I was), learning to enjoy Clean Eating treats!

  • I’ve learned so much already, and I’m so grateful.
  • I have learned more precise portion control.
  • I have learned we need healthy carbs (Examples: brown rice, sweet potatoes, beans) to give us fuel.
  • I have learned how important water intake is for your body.
  • I was your girl who had to have creamer in her coffee and loved it! Not anymore, I have learned to cut out refined sugar and not only does my body thank me, my whole being thanks me.

I feel so much better overall now with a 29-pound weight loss. Clean Eating has changed my life and helped me beat eliminate cravings!

My thyroid medicine keeps being reduced and my doctor is impressed with my results. This is a continued journey, it is not a diet, but a whole new way of living that brings joy and ease!

What kind of results have your experienced physically and otherwise from doing this challenge?

I have lost 29 pounds. I do not have the bloating I once did, and overall I have great clarity. Because of the physical improvements and learning how to eat correctly without the negative effects, my whole mindset is different. When you feel better physically, your emotional health improves as well!

What was the experience like for you, for your family?

I have a supportive family.  My husband has supported 200%.  He sees how much better I feel and helps me prep food. My daughter is now trying to eat healthier every day.

What words of wisdom do you have for newcomers who are interest in taking the 30-day challenge?

NEVER compare your journey to another person. We are unique and we all have different challenges.  Week 1 can be tough because we are detoxing our bodies from all things that are not healthy for us. Understand that anything that is worth something takes work. Have goals but do not over-focus on the big picture. Take each challenge and break your goals down into weeks – one step at a time! Focus on what you are putting into your body. Look for the positive changes about how good you feel with Clean Eating.

Be optimistic and focus on what you can eat and not what you can’t. Enjoy learning how good food can taste. Relish in the small victories because those will become larger! Make a promise to yourself that this is a new lifestyle that will stay with you from this point forward and know it will make a healthier version of YOU!
